What's in My Bag: Work Edition

I've been using a Tory Burch tote as my work bag for the past month or so, and it's great. It's huge, plus I love that it's nylon and easy to wipe off if anything spills. I thought I'd give y'all a peek inside.

I carry these items on a daily basis.

I always have my work binder with me. I took out the front cover, because it has the business's name. Inside is my employee contract, notes, etc. I always carry my wallet, planner, and a minimergency kit (the little green pouch). I have my own "necessities" in the brown and black pouch--a glimpse inside is below. I usually have some sort of book I'm reading, and the Longchamp pouch has pens. Finally, the little file pouch holds receipts and checks that I collect at work!

Inside of the black and brown pouch, I have the following: bandaids, lip gloss, had sanitizer, tide-to-go, tampons, a hair tie, tissues, and a couple water flavorings.

What's a "must-have" in your bag? Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday to Me

Today is my 23rd birthday! 22 was such a crazy year filled with highs and lows, so I'm excited to start my 23rd year. I rang in my birthday with some sorority sisters in Columbia last night, but we're headed to Charleston tonight to continue the festivities. Cheers to the best year yet!

Whitney English Day Designer--Yay or Nay?

I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately. I've been working a ton, and it's been crazy, long hours, which has left me a stressed out girl. I've always told y'all that I've lived by my planners, but confession: I haven't looked at mine in a month. I was thinking that I needed something a bit more elaborate than my Lilly planner, so I ordered the Whitney English Day Designer.

I planned to order it from her Etsy shop, but the shipping was $13! Really?! $13 for a small planner?! No way! Then I found it online at The Grommet for the same price, but free shipping, so I ordered it. Here's a little preview of what it looks like inside:

I was super excited, but now I'm having buyer's remorse. Every day, my work schedule is different, so it's hard to plan ahead. I'm thinking I could just stick with the Lilly planner and then move on to something more extensive next year if I need it.

What do y'all think? Have any of y'all tried the Whitney English Day Designers? Happy Monday!

Guilty Pleasures

Today, I thought I'd share some of my most recent guilty pleasures with y'all:

Panera Broccoli and Cheddar Soup
This soup is amazing on a cold, dreary day. I might have had it for lunch three times this week. Oops.

Oversized Sweatshirt
Every night I come home, I change into an oversized Citadel sweatshirt and leggings. I wish this could be my daily uniform, because it's SO comfy.

Ebay Stalking
I've been obsessively stalking eBay for Spode pieces. I get a little competitive every time I get one of the "I'm sorry, you've been outbid" emails.

True Tori
This is probably the worst, most dramatic reality show I've ever gotten into, but it's like a bad train wreck I can't stop watching. Season 1 I hated Dean, but now I almost feel bad for him. I think it's time they pulled the plug on the marriage.

Early Bedtimes
Every night this week, I've gone to bed before 10:30. I feel like such a grandma, but I've been exhausted lately, and 7 am wakeup calls are too early for me. There's so much I could be getting done at night, but instead, I've been coming home, watching a show, hanging out with my parents, then going to bed. But you know what? I've loved it.

What are some of your guilty pleasures? Have a wonderful day!

Spode Christmas Tree

So I've been on a china kick lately, and all Spode patterns have been included in my obsession. A pattern I've always loved is the Spode Christmas Tree pattern. I've always dreamed of having a set of Spode Christmas china to use with my family one day.

Anyway, I went by Marshall's this weekend to check for Mariposa (I've seen it there before), and to spend a gift card I received for graduation (so it's not breaking my spending freeze!!), and I found a goldmine, y'all. There was a TON of Spode Christmas china! Here's what I bought:

Large Platter--Sells for $147, I scored it for $34.99!

I bought several (I'm embarrassed to tell the real count) wine glasses at $3.99 each. They are normally $39.99 for 4!

I also scored this hostess set, which includes salt and pepper shakers, as well as a covered butter dish. It sells for $126, and I got it for $14.99!

Finally, I got this appetizer/cheese plate for only $9.99, but sells for $53.99.

I can't wait to continue to collect pieces over the years and use this one day as a Christmas hostess!  Have a wonderful day!
