I have naturally curly hair, and I usually just wear it down most days. Sometimes I straighten it, but I usually don't on school days, because that would add and extra hour to my mornings! But, I'm looking for some ways to spice up my daily hairdos, and I need some help from y'all! Here are some pictures I've pinned and hope to try:
What are some easy hairstyles y'all do when you want to do a little something more to your hair? Have a terrific day!
A while ago, I blogged about wanting a monogram necklace and since that post, I've come into the possession of three (oops!). This is my latest one from Ynobe Boutique--I love how delicate it is! And I needed one in gold....
This is the outfit I paired it with. Just a simple black dress, light-weight sweater, and Jacks!
Loving this scent. It's been filling my room for a couple of weeks!
Love this dress on this month's issue of Martha Stewart Weddings!
A little Carolina football!
I made the funfetti dip from Pinterest, but I wasn't that impressed. I just wasn't loving it.
I've previously ordered from Lifeguard Press before, and honestly, I've always been SO pleased with their customer service. About a year ago, I bought a Lilly frame at the Lilly store, but it broke about a month later. I took it back to the Lilly store, but they said that I would have to call Lifeguard Press, since it had been over a month since I bought it. Anyway, I called Lifeguard Press, and they sent me a new frame for free and an apology note! Since then, I've been very impressed with their customer service!
So when I was sent two new Lilly items to review from Lifeguard Press, I was more than happy to oblige!

First, I was sent this adorable coffee tumbler in "See You Later." I have a serious coffee addiction, so this tumbler has been perfect to use on my way to school every morning. I also love how bright and cheery the print is--how can your day start off badly when you're drinking out of this?!
A close-up of the pattern! So cute!
They also sent me a large Lilly wall calendar. I didn't get a Lilly planner this year, and I'm definitely missing all of the fun prints, so I knew I would just love the calendar! I'm a very visual person, so I always like to look at my calendar and see what's coming up. Although this calendar doesn't start until January 2013, I already have it hanging up near my desk, because who doesn't love a little more Lilly in their room?!
Have you ever ordered from Lifeguard Press? Have a terrific Thursday!
Today, I thought it would be fun to do a day in the life post! My schedule this year is absolutely perfect--on Mondays and Wednesdays, I have class at 10 and then class at 2:30, so I'm done for the day by 3:45. Then, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, my first class starts at 2, and I'm done by 6:45. I only have one class on Friday, at 10, so my weekend starts at 11! I love my schedule this year--I have a lot of free and studying time, which has been so perfect.
Anyway, here was my Tuesday:
8:45--Wakeup, brush teeth, change into workout clothes, and eat my breakfast
9:00--I head to the gym at my apartment complex and do the elliptical for about 30 minutes
10:15--Catch-up on one of my shows or just watch TV and blog for about an hour
(Close-up of my Lilly dress!)
11:15--Shower, do hair and makeup, and pick out my outfit
12:15--Make myself lunch, and eat while working on homework or reviewing for a quiz
1:30--Head to campus
6:50--Pickup dinner on campus to take back to the apartment; eat, then do homework!
11:45--Make to-do list for tomorrow, pack my tote for the next day
12:00--Blog, return emails, and/or read
What is your daily schedule like this semester? Hope you have a wonderful day!
Some of my friends will be graduating this May, and although it's still 8 months away, I'm starting to think about what I'm going to get them for graduation! I want their gifts to be unique and something that they'll actually use and love.
While I was procrastinating one night, I came across the perfect gift--framed photographs from their campus that spell out either their school's name or mascot from Corduroy!
According to Corduroy's website, "Corduroy produces striking pieces of artwork using original photographs of architectural and landscape elements that, when placed together, create words. These unique and memorable pieces provide a new perspective on familiar places and are the perfect gift for everyone on your list, including yourself!"
I'm sure y'all have seen these before, but I had never realized what a perfect gift these would be for a grad! Corduroy has a large selection of schools to choose from, and each frame has a sticker on the back that tells which each letter came from!
I've gotten TONS of comments and emails asking me where I've transferred, but I guess y'all will know now...USC!! Anne, the owner, was sweet enough to send me this one to hang up in my apartment:
I LOVE that I have this sticker, telling me where each letter is from!
My roommates and I absolutely LOVE it, but we're waiting for my dad to come next weekend and hang it up with special hooks (it's so heavy), but once we get it up, I'll definitely show y'all a picture!
Here are some other popular schools and places:
Aren't these such an awesome gift for a grad, or for yourself?! Corduroy was generous enough to extend a 10% discount to all of my amazing readers with the code MISSPREP at checkout! This discount applies to any frame, not just the USC ones! It works at the main Corduroy site or their Etsy shop!
This frame is the perfect addition to my "cocky" apartment! Which frame would you chose? Have a great day!
