The Power of Pink

It's no secret that I am obsessed with pink, and I dream of having a pink room in my house when I'm older.  Of course, pink can run the risk of looking childish or too girly, so it's important to anchor it with neutrals, solids, and/or darker colors. Here are some rooms that I think did pink perfectly:

What do you think of pink rooms? Do you have a pink room in your house? Have a fabulous day!

  1. LOVE the pink in the kitchen at the top, and the stripes in that bathroom are so fun! I have all my pink (hopefully tastefully) in my guest room, but I will love the day when we move into our own house and I can start spreading it throughout the house! Hope you're having a good snow day!

  5. I agree. These rooms are done just right! One of my girls has a pink room full of hot pink ginghams and stripes mixed with lots of white. I love it in "grown-up' rooms too!

  6. I love the combination of pink and yellow. The third picture with the pink & blue...AMAZING! Love it.

My bedroom at my parents house is pink! They re-painted the entire house a few years ago but I stuck with my pink room. It's actually a pale pink ("lip gloss") so it doesn't look overly girly or childish at all. My bedspread and curtains are a dark green, the room has hardwood floors and the rest of the furniture is a dark wood. I think these elements bring it away from being childish.

  9. Pink's not usually my favorite color, but these rooms are so beautifully feminine! When in doubt pink it out!
