Working Girl

I'm not sure if I told y'all, but I'm doing an internship right now at a company that I'd LOVE to work for after graduation. The environment isn't casual, but it's not too corporate. I thought I'd do a Polyvore of some of the outfits I've been wearing lately. As you can see, I've been trying to incorporate some color, so I'm not too boring! If I remember, I'll try to take some OOTD posts, too!

What do y'all wear in corporate environments? How do you incorporate color?

Also, have y'all heard "Drink in my Hand" by Eric Church? I am obsessed! It's been on replay on my iPod, and I just can't get enough! It makes me think of summer!

Hope you have a great day!

  1. In corporate environments, I love incorporating color with SCARVES!! Especially during the fall/winter. Other than that, I love wearing basic blacks, grays, or navy…but accessorizing with a phenom pair of shoes. When else am I going to get to wear those lime-green Gucci stiletto sandals?

  2. My office changed to casual a few years ago so I wear jeans a ton-even our CEO does. I wear a lot of scarves and jewelry for pops of color.

  4. Love these outfits! I'm about four years away from having to dress for a job, but I hope I'm able to dress this well when I do get one; so cute!

  5. I wear slacks and just a button up. I work in finance so we can't look too "trendy", even though I wish we could!

  6. Love all those outfits girl! I try to incorporate color with accessories, scarves or a bright blouse under my jacket! And that song is one of my favorites!

  7. I really like the question you posed on the working environment. I clerk, and the environment is mostly formal, but on Friday it is business casual—unless you’re in court. Today I’m in a black suit when a bright red shell under…the other day I wore a black dress from J.Crew with some ruffle detailing and then a fun pair of animal print flats. I think as long as you do it in small pieces it can be very tasteful and respectful of the environment. (a statement piece of jewelry, a top, a scarf,) One of the most helpful resources was (this is surprising) my dad. He is at a very conservative, old, respected law firm—so it was great to get the insight of an older attorney of what is a go or a not so much in the legal environment, clothing wise. (plus he may have taken me shopping to make sure I ‘got’ his ideas! Ha ha ha). Oh and I love this song—no matter where I hear it, I turn it up, and sing my little heart out. Happy Monday NA. oxo

  10. These are all great outfits! I must admit my favourites are the coral shoes - I was looking for a pair like that this week end. Isn't it nice that all these great bright colours are around at the moment?
