Bring on the Caffeine

I am sorry I've been such a terrible blogger lately! I am so behind on reading and commenting on all of y'alls blogs, and I am so sorry! This week is absolutely insane, with papers and final assignments due, not to mention that next week is exam week--eeek! Right now, I'm just trying to make it through Friday, and then I'll start worrying about exams. Right now, I'm loading up on this:

Elle and Em Desktop Planner

A few weeks ago, the fabulous Elle & Em contacted me about reviewing their new desktop planner, and I happily obliged! I currently use a Lilly planner, which I love, but one thing that really bothers me about the Lilly planners is that the week-at-a-glance doesn't have a ton of space under each day. I love that the Elle & Em planners have a ton of space under each day, and each day is also divided into sections of time, from 8AM-5PM. I love that there's a time for each appointment I need to write in my planner!

The planner also features a year-at-a-glance section, and a month-at-a-glance section, which is perfect for type-As, like me.

The theme of the planner is the "A year in the life of a happy girl," which is based on Audrey Hepburn's famous quote, "Happiest girls are the prettiest girls." Each month showcases a gorgeous watercolor print, which I love, too.

All of the watercolor prints featured in the planner.

The best part is that this planner is small and light enough for me to tote around in my Longchamp or my school bag. This planner is perfect for anyone who is looking for a simple, but classic planner for the 2012 year! Click here to purchase a lovely planner!

P.S. Sorry for the terrible photos--my Blackberry is going crazy, and all of my pictures are off-center!

Monograms Galore

Last weekend, I babysat for the preppiest family, and they had monograms all over their house! I have never seen a house more full of monograms, and I loved it! I couldn't believe all of the monogrammed items displayed in their home, so of course their home inspired me to look-up tons of monogrammed stuff for my future home! Here are some of my favorites:

"Personally, I think it would be tacky to wear diamonds before I'm forty..."

Did anyone else see Blair's gorgeous Tiffany themed shower on Gossip Girl Monday night? I, of course, love all things Tiffany, and as I told y'all last week, I recently saw Breakfast at Tiffany's and am also obsessed with it! After seeing Blair's shower, I began to think about how fun a Tiffany's themed party would be! Here are the key elements I think any Tiffany's party would need:

Tights

One trend I'm loving right now is patterned tights. I've been dying to try this trend, but the temperature at school has been crazy, so I'm waiting until it's a bit colder! I think it looks best to pair patterned tights with a plain dress, so they really stand-out! Here are some tights I love:

What do you think of patterned tights? Hope you're having a fabulous day! Safe travels to all of your college students going home for break!

Gobble, Gobble

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is less than a week away?! I feel like fall has flown by! With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching, I have been trying to figure what I'm going to wear. I like to dress up for Thanksgiving, but also keep it somewhat casual. I also try to add some red into my outfit, since of course, Christmas is right around the corner after Thanksgiving! Here are some outfits I came up with, some are casual and others are a bit more formal:

I think I'll probably be wearing something similar to the far left outfit. What are you wearing on Thanksgiving? Have a fabulous Friday!

Totally Tortoise

Hi, my name is Miss Southern Prep, and I am a tortoise shell addict. I am absolutely addicted to anything and everything tortoise. I love, love, love tortoise shell and wish that I could wear it every day. I think it's such a classic print, and I love that it can be worn with black or brown. Here are some drool-worthy tortoise shell items that I'm loving:

What do you think about all things tortoise? How do you wear tortoise? Have a lovely Thursday!

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Can I tell y'all a little secret? Until a few weeks ago, I had never seen Breakfast at Tiffany's! I know, it's crazy! But don't worry, I finally watched it, and of course, I loved it! Holly, played by Audrey Hepburn, was so gorgeous in the movie!

I absolutely loved her sleepwear, especially the tassel earplugs and sleep mask! So of course as soon as I finished the movie, I went on a hunt to find them, and found the cutest replicas:

I don't know if I could actually sleep in these, but I would definitely go to bed feeling like I'm in Breakfast at Tiffany's every night! Would you wear either of Holly's sleep accessories? Do you love Breakfast at Tiffany's as much as me? Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Wow, Baby!

One thing I absolutely love is interior design. I could literally look at decorating magazines or websites all day, every day. One of my family friends recently announced that she's pregnant, so of course I began looking for nursery inspiration images! I think nurseries are just so cute and precious, so I couldn't help but share some of the ones I love with y'all:

I love the lattice pattern on the wall!

JLo's nursery is so over-the-top, but I love the chandelier!

Precious for a little girl!

This nursery is so simple, yet elegant, which I love!

I love the nautical theme and the window seat!

Do you love interior design as much as me? Hope you have a fabulous day!

Capes, Capes, Capes

I'm sure all of you have seen the cape trend for this season--it's all over the magazines and runways. What do you think of this trend? Here are some capes that I love....

Capes, Capes, Capes

And here are some celebrities rocking the trend:

What do you think? I like the trend on celebs and the runway, but I don't think I could pull it off! Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!
