My Go-To

Today, I thought I'd share some of my "go-to's" with y'all:

Clothing Brand
Obviously, my go-to is Lilly Pulitzer! I love the bright prints and colors!

I'm obsessed with these Snapea Crisps. I've found them at my local grocery store and at Costco. SO YUMMY!

Errand Outfit
Instead of wearing a sweatshirt and leggings, my go-to errand-running outfit has become a Lilly popover and Ann Taylor's stretch leggings. The leggings are a bit thicker and more pant-like, so they look a bit more polished. This outfit looks so much more put-together than a sweatshirt, but it's just as comfortable!

Tory Burch Caroline flats--I love these for work, nights out with friends, or casual outfits!

Hot Starbucks Drink
Right now, I'm still loving non-fat, no-whips PSLs, but once it ends, I'll be switching to Skinny Vanilla lattes.

Cold Starbucks Drink
I love Iced Trenta 3-Splenda Black Teas when it gets hotter.

Nail Color
My go-to gel color is OPI's "Valking in a Vinter Vonderland." I usually ask for three coats so it's really dark!

I love the Real Housewives of all cities. Right now, I'm re-watching Season 2 of the Real Housewives of New York City. I loved the Bethenny and Jill friendship.

What are some of your go-to's? Have a great Thursday!

Lilly for Target + Lilly After Party Sale

I'm sure y'all have heard about the Lilly collaboration at Target! Lilly and Target are two of my brands, so I'm so excited for this partnership! I will be waiting at the door at 8 am when the collection debuts on April 19th haha! Here are some sneak peeks of the collaboration:

I cannot wait for the home items! I definitely want some of those napkins and placemats! I am SO, SO, SO excited!

Speaking of Lilly, how did y'all do during the Lilly After Party Sale?! I started trying to log on at 7:55 and the site went live for me at 7:59. Thankfully, I was never put in the "que," but I heard it was a nightmare. Here's what I ordered:

Obviously I love Escapades in the Everglades haha! And I ordered these from a Dillard's sale the week before the Lilly After Party Sale:

I snagged the tunic for half of the price that it was selling for during the After Party Sale! How did y'all do during the sale? Have a wonderful Wednesday!

How to: Survive Living with Your Parents Post-Grad

I received a request from a reader to do a post about living with your parents post-grad, so I thought I'd share some of my thoughts and experiences with y'all. This month will mark the eighth month that I've lived with my parents following my graduation in May. Let me start out by saying that I have a great relationship with my parents and I've enjoyed living with them. Of course we've had little disputes here and there, but overall, it's been a great experience. Here are some of my tips:

Respect Their Rules
Honestly, I don't have a ton of rules at home. My parents know that I'm responsible, so they kind of let me do my own thing most of the time. Also, I'm 23 years old, so I think they know that I'm at the point where I can make my own decisions. However, they have a few key rules, so since they're so lenient on most things, I definitely make sure I respect the rules they do have.

Keep Them Updated
During high school, my parents were extremely strict. My weekend curfew was 10:30 haha! They always knew where I was going, who I was spending time with, etc. However, they really let me have my freedom once I graduated, and I respect them because of it. I know I don't have to tell them everything now, but I usually mention where I'm going after work, what friends I'm seeing on the weekend, and around the time I'll be home that night. I find that it makes them worry a lot less and that they appreciate knowing a general idea of what I'm doing!

Have Some Independence
My parents still do a lot of things for me. I'm so lucky that I don't have big bills and expenses, like rent, cable, electricity, etc., but I do think it's important to take on some responsibility and be independent even though you're living with them. I've been saving a significant portion of my paychecks, collecting furniture, and getting ready to buy my own car, so in a few months when I'm ready to move out, I will make the transition to independence a lot more easily.

Be Appreciative
I've been trying to let my parents know how much I appreciate them letting me live with them for free! Wether I actually tell them or do little errands for them to make their lives easier, I want them to know that I genuinely appreciate all that they do for me!

Spend Time with Them
My schedule has been so crazy lately, but I want to take advantage of the time that I can spend with my parents. We're pretty close, so I know if I move to another state this year, I'll miss them terribly! It's easier to spend time with my mom--we love consigning, lunching together, and doing fun things--but I've been making an effort to spend time with both of my parents, even if that means sacrificing a night out to watch a movie at home with them.

I know I probably won't be living with my parents too much longer, so I'm really trying to spend time with them and take advantage of all the "perks" living at home offers! What's your advice for living at home post-grad? Have a great Tuesday!

Beauty Saves & Splurges

Today I thought I'd share some of my favorite beauty saves and splurges with y'all.

Vaseline Lip Therapy
I've raved about this before, but I am obsessed with Vaseline Lip Therapy. I put it on every night before bed, especially since the air has been so dry this winter. At $1.77, it's a great deal! I've bought a little container for my aunts and my mom!

Chanel Lumiere Foundation
The Chanel Lumiere foundation is a huge splurge for me at $57, but it has made such a difference in my skin! I thought the foundation I used before was amazing, but after I put this on, I'd never switch back! It's build-able, so I've stopped using concealer for blemishes, and my skin almost glows after I put this on my face. I love it!

L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
Like I mentioned above, my skin/lips always get a bit dry during the winter. This hand cream is my absolute favorite! I interact with a lot of people on a daily basis, so I'm always using hand sanitizer and washing my hands to avoid germs, which makes my hands dry. My family keeps tubes in our house for everyone to use on their hands, because it's amazing! It's extremely thick, so you don't use a lot, and it's a definite "save" at only $12 per tube.

Chanel Hydrating Sheer Lip Shine
This lip color is a splurge at $35, but it's become a necessity in my daily makeup routine. I love how soft and hydrated it makes my lips, plus it's a great light color for work. I use the shade "Boy."

Bobbi Brown Blush
I've been using Bobbi Brown blush for at least 6 years now. It's a splurge at $27, but it lasts all day, and I probably only buy new blush every two years.

Aveeno Pure Renewal Dry Shampoo
This is my absolute favorite dry shampoo. It smells fresh and makes my hair look like it's just been washed, plus it's a steal at $10. It's a bit hard to find, but I usually find it at Ulta!

Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo
My Ulta had run out of the Aveeno Dry Shampoo, so I picked this up in a pinch at Target a few weeks ago. It actually works really well, but it does make my hair a little bit frizzy and I'm not a fan of the scent. However, it was only $5, so I'd pick it up again if I couldn't find the Aveeno!

Clarisonic Mia
My skin is oily and tends to break out, so the Clarisonic Mia has helped my skin tremendously. When I don't use it daily, I can tell a difference in my skin--it doesn't feel as fresh or clean, and it breaks out. It's definitely a splurge at $99, but it's well-worth it!

What are some of your beauty splurges and saves? Have a great Monday!

What's in My Bag: Work Edition

I've been using a Tory Burch tote as my work bag for the past month or so, and it's great. It's huge, plus I love that it's nylon and easy to wipe off if anything spills. I thought I'd give y'all a peek inside.

I carry these items on a daily basis.

I always have my work binder with me. I took out the front cover, because it has the business's name. Inside is my employee contract, notes, etc. I always carry my wallet, planner, and a minimergency kit (the little green pouch). I have my own "necessities" in the brown and black pouch--a glimpse inside is below. I usually have some sort of book I'm reading, and the Longchamp pouch has pens. Finally, the little file pouch holds receipts and checks that I collect at work!

Inside of the black and brown pouch, I have the following: bandaids, lip gloss, had sanitizer, tide-to-go, tampons, a hair tie, tissues, and a couple water flavorings.

What's a "must-have" in your bag? Have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday to Me

Today is my 23rd birthday! 22 was such a crazy year filled with highs and lows, so I'm excited to start my 23rd year. I rang in my birthday with some sorority sisters in Columbia last night, but we're headed to Charleston tonight to continue the festivities. Cheers to the best year yet!
